CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Supervisor to oversee the construction of low-cost, energy-efficient homes for income-qualified individuals and families. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on construction experience who is passionate about quality, efficiency, and making a difference in our communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise day-to-day construction activities on-site
Ensure homes are built to meet energy-efficient standards, safety codes, and project specifications
Coordinate and direct crews
Monitor project timelines to ensure on-time completion
Maintain accurate records of job progress and report to management as required
Promote a safe, organized, and respectful job site
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 3 years of construction experience, with supervisory experience preferred
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to pass Department of Corrections training and background check
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to operate a forklift and carry heavy objects
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes
LOCATION: Springfield, SD
STARTING SALARY: Depending on experience. $27.84 per hour minimum.
BENEFITS: SD Housing pays 100 percent of employees health, dental and vision insurance plus a percentage of family coverage. Option for employer contributed Health Savings Account. Additionally, paid family leave, eleven paid holidays, time of service bonuses and accrual of 15 vacation and 14 sick days annually. Participation in state retirement plan with SD Housing matching 6% and option to contribute to supplemental retirement.
