Applications for Housing Opportunity Fund Being Accepted

PIERRE, S.D. (4/9/24) – PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Housing is inviting developers to submit applications for funding from the Housing Opportunity Fund (HOF) program.

Any for-profit or nonprofit entity, tribal government, housing authority, political subdivision of South Dakota or agency of South Dakota is eligible to apply for funding. 

The Housing Opportunity Fund may be used for new construction, rehabilitation, or the purchase and rehabilitation of rental or homeownership housing. Only applications for housing development will be accepted during this open application cycle.  Applications for programs will be accepted during the competitive application cycle in August.

The Housing Opportunity Fund program allocation plan and application form can be found on SD Housing’s website at www.sdhousing.org. Please refer to the website for HOF funding limitations. Complete applications will be accepted starting Wednesday, May 1, 2024, and must be received by SD Housing no later than Friday, June 28, at 5:00 p.m. CT.
