HOUSING INFRASTRUCTURE OFFICER
SOUTH DAKOTA HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

DESCRIPTION: Primarily responsible for the administration of a financing program to fund housing infrastructure. The successful candidate will analyze applications for financial feasibility and program requirements; assist in preparing legal documents and program allocation plans; complete program reporting, conduct research, and market the program to potential applicants.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidate must possess innovative financial, analytical, and negotiating skills; an assertive attitude towards relationship building; experience working with a variety of partners; and the ability to interpret federal and state regulations and communicate concisely, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of real estate mortgage lending is required with an emphasis on underwriting single and multifamily housing development. The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, real estate, or a related field and/or a combination of related education and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities. Strong PC skills are required, including database and spreadsheets. Individuals should be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently and in teams.

LOCATION: Pierre, SD (limited in-state and out-of-state travel)

STARTING SALARY: $25.07 - $28.20 per hour. SDHDA pays 100 percent of employees’ health, dental and vision insurance plus a percentage of family coverage. Option for employer contributed Health Savings Account. Additionally, paid family leave eleven paid holidays, and accrual of 15 vacation and 14 sick days annually. Participation in a state retirement plan with SDHDA matching 6% and the option to contribute to supplemental retirement.

HOME REPAIR SERVICE TECHNICIAN
($500 HIRING INCENTIVE)
SOUTH DAKOTA HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

DESCRIPTION: Primarily responsible for repairs resulting from the delivery and installation of Governor’s Houses. The Governor’s House Program is a program funded by SDHDA, in which prison inmates at the Mike Durfee State Prison build low-cost, low-maintenance, energy-efficient homes for income-qualified individuals and families.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidate must possess excellent customer service and trade skills; experience working with a variety of clients; general knowledge of home repair and improvement; and the ability to communicate professionally. The ability to fix sheetrock cracks, siding, shingles, and alignment of doors is a plus. Successful candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED or a combination of three years of related education and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.

LOCATION: Statewide, SD (travel within the state required)
