South Dakota Housing Hosting Listening Session regarding the 2025 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report
PIERRE, SD (2/4/2026) – South Dakota Housing (SDH), in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), will be hosting a listening session on February 19, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. CST, to present and discuss the outcomes of federal Community Planning and Development funds during 2025.
As required by HUD, these results are reported annually, which includes informing the public and inviting comments on the results.
Annually the state of South Dakota receives approximately $12.5 million from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support the development of viable communities by providing decent housing, suitable living environments and expanded economic opportunities to low- and moderate-income persons.
SDH and GOED annually prepare an evaluation document (Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report - CAPER) that outlines how the $12.5 million of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG), Housing Trust Fund (HTF) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) program funds were utilized.
Persons interested are encouraged to attend the listening session on February 19, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Central Time. at SDH, 3060 E. Elizabeth Street, Pierre. The session will also be available via Microsoft Teams.
