South Dakota Housing, in partnership with the Governor's Office of Economic Development, invites you to participate in an upcoming public meeting as we begin the process of developing the 2026 Annual Action Plan and updated allocation plans for the HOME, Housing Tax Credit, Housing Trust Fund, Community Development Block Grant, Emergency Solutions Grants and Housing Opportunity Fund programs.

South Dakota Housing is inviting developers to submit applications for funding from the Housing Opportunity Fund (HOF) program. This open funding round is a chance for developers to make their projects happen.

South Dakota Housing (SDH), in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), will be hosting a listening session on February 19, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. CST, to present and discuss the outcomes of federal Community Planning and Development funds during 2025.

South Dakota Housing’s Board of Commissioners recently awarded $59.4 million to support the construction and rehabilitation of multifamily and single-family rental housing across the state. An additional $742,500 was awarded to nine programs that provide affordable housing assistance.
